The Thrawn Campaign as it is known is the offensive of the Imperial Remnant, led by Grand Admiral Thrawn, against the New Republic. It takes place in 9 ABY, five years after the Battle of Endor. The New Republic is just now getting a grip on being the main galactic power, and is already facing troubles. To make matters worse, Grand Admiral Thrawn, who recently returned from the Unknown Regions of the galaxy, has taken command of the Imperial Remnant. With an insane Jedi Master, a planet of fanatically loyal commandos, and the Emperor's secret cloning facility, the last Grand Admiral begins a deadly plan that could end with the destruction of the New Republic.
- Galactic Overview:
In a reversal of positions, the New Republic now has galactic dominance, controlling more territory than the Empire. Coruscant, the unofficial center of the galaxy, is under New Republic control, along with Kuat, Mon Calamari, Generis, and many other former Imperial worlds. The Empire on the other hand are the underdog faction now, with their capital on the world of Bastion, along with other such important worlds as Yaga Minor, Muunilinst, Bilbringi, Ord Trasi, Obroa-Skai, and Carida.
