The Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, often abbreviated as ISD II, is one of the primary capital ships of the Imperial Remnant and Pentastar Alignment, available in Eras 1-5. It carries an armament of 64/8 Turbolasers, 8/4 Octuple Turbolasers, 6/2 Heavy Turbolasers, 20/2 Heavy Ion Cannons, and a Tractor Beam.


The class began with a prototype Imperial Star Destroyer known as the Empire, commanded by Admiral Feyet Kiez. It was a success, acquiring a similar reputation to the Executor-class Star Dreadnought. The first ships of this class became operational shortly before the Battle of Yavin.

The class remained in service well after the Battle of Endor, despite the development of more advanced designs. It remained in service throughout the Yuuzhan Vong War until some time after the Second Galactic Civil War. Perhaps the two most famous ships of this class were the Errant Venture (formerly the Virulence: renamed after its surrender to smuggler Booster Terrik), and the Chimaera (flagship of the Imperial Remnant for over 40 years).

Use IngameEdit

The ISD II is one of three offensive capital ships of the Empire, and one of the two available during all five Eras. It is designed to be a middle ground between punishing firepower and starfighter support. This makes it an excellent frontline assault cruiser (Often several spearhead a task force). It can easily crush any of the early capital ships like the New Republic's MC80 Liberty-class. One ISD II is more than a match for a Golan I, and two, with bomber support, can seek out a victory against a Golan III.

The ISD II's main weakness is its less than stellar fighter compliment (TIEs). In addition, it becomes less effective against the more modernized capital ships found in later eras (such as the Nebula-class Star Destroyer). This is easily made up for by sufficient support (Lancer Frigates, Carriers, VSD's and Strike Cruisers). By far, the ISD line of star destroyers are the most balanced capital ships in the game.
