The Vanguard are the New Republic's anti-armor infantry unit. They carry plex missile launchers and come in squads of 4. They have the 'Take Cover' ability that allows them to survive longer but at the cost of lower mobility.
They are extremely fragile when they are attacked so distract enemy vehicles with other units like T-47 Airspeeders or the T-2b, T-1b and armored freerunners before you send them up. They deal high damage to tanks and gunships alike. They can be built with a barracks and are part of the garrison forces, of said building, which include 2 NR Troopers and 2 NR Vanguards.
